The closer it gets to Christmas, the more people start to panic about being able to find the perfect gift in time.  Why stress over that?  I love to find just the perfect gift, but in recent years, I have found the gift card to be invaluable!  I can stick to my budget and the recipient can get what they REALLY want and need. Gift cards are a practical solution!

The practice of “gift card giving” must have rubbed off on my husband, because on the 10th day of Christmas he (i.e. my true love) gave to me a Space Savers Gift Card so I could organize to my heart’s content!

One thing we always make sure we have a good supply of on Christmas morning is batteries.  So, on the 9th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, Battery Storage Containers for the stockpile of batteries that will power up everything under the Christmas tree!  There is a specific container for each size from “AAA” to “D”.  They have a snap-top lid so your batteries won’t go rolling around everywhere getting lost or mixed up with old batteries.

I have always been bad about opening up a fresh package of batteries, taking out what I need and shoving the rest of the package in one of 2 junk drawers in my kitchen (I like to call it ”organized junk”). 

The problem comes when someone (teenage son) goes to get new batteries, looks in the drawer and decides they would rather BUY new batteries than take everything out of that drawer to LOOK for them.  So…new batteries are purchased, opened, and the rest of the pack is shoved into the drawer.  Repeat this a few times and you understand the “battery cycle” in my household. On the 8th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me a Concord Overdoor Shoe Rack!  I guess he got tired of hearing me complain that I’ve lost my shoes!  If you have the same problem, check out this shoe organizer section!  There are 15 new shoe organizers that have been added to Space Savers in the last 2 weeks.  If you haven’t seen them, you should! 

My personal favorite is the Concord Collection (good thing – ’cause that’s what I got!).  The Concord shoe racks and organizers are made with a wood frame combined with chrome metal wire. The two materials create a solid, sophisticated shoe organizing solution.  It’s a great alternative to the plastic or vinyl-coated wire options.  The Concord Collection shoe racks also have chrome arch accents that really add a nice, modern touch.
