Q&A: Organizing a Lazy Susan

Question:  The large lazy susan in my cabinet unit in the kitchen easily becomes a mess! I’ve tried small baskets. Has anyone found pie wedge shaped containers that will fit around the circle?

Answer:  I have seen pizza slice storage containers but I fear they would be too big for your need.

Tupperware has “Sprinkles and Spice” wedge containers that may work with your lazy susan. They also sell a carousel for the containers. Each wedge holds about 1 cup, has a lid and the containers are stackable. I also suggest going to a restaurant or deli where they sell pies by the slice in those cute little wedge shaped containers. Ask if they can sell you some of their plastic containers (they may even give you some). You can cut off the tops and have yourself a wedge container perfect for a circular area! Just have some idea before you go what size the containers need to be and how many you will need.

Hope this helps! Happy organizing!

I have the same problem!! I have a large two-tiered lazy susan installed in a blind corner cabinet and nothing will stay in place in this!

I have been looking for large wedge-shaped containers to make the most of the space but can find nothing.

The solution presented above would work great for a small carosel but not the large one I have with the big items I tend to keep in the unit.

If anyone can find large containers (like 14″ wide on the outer diameter and 12″ radius) I would be thrilled!

What are you trying to keep in place on the lazy susan? I know the kind you have (I want one).

If you are just trying to keep things from shifting, how about some shelf liner – the non-slip kind that comes in all kinds of great colors.

I’ll be on the lookout for large wedge/triangle containers, though!

I have a “Sprinkles and Spice” wedge containers that may work with your lazy susan. I just moved and it will not fit into my cabinets. I only have 6 of the pie shaped spice containers but I am sure you can find more. let me know.

I want to keep my plastic bowls and lids in my lazy susan cabinet that is too small for all the pots and pans I own. I currently have little baskets holding the lids but there is alot of wasted space because they are a rectangle. They will work for now but I’ll keep my eye out for a better fit.

I am looking for the same thing. This is such a no-brainer I can’t believe they don’t exist. If anyone finds them let me know.
