Bedroom Disaster!

I go to school at Western Carolina Unveristy; go CATAMOUNTS :D !!! I left school about a month ago for summer break. Unfortunately, I brought home more stuff than I have room for. I have tons of little office gadgets that I had for my desk at school but I don’t have a desk of my own at home to put them in or on.  My mom’s desk is already full with her own stuff. Then there’s my clothes. I still haven’t unpacked my three suitcases yet. The main reason for that is because both of my dressers and my closet are full!!!

Every time my mom comes in my room, she says ” Christy you’ve got to do something with this room …it’s a mess!  I can’t even go two inches without stepping over something!”  I don’t think my mom fully understands the problem I’m going through. I would love to unpack and organize my room!  One day, I know I need to go through all my clothes and get rid of what I don’t wear anymore.  After that I’m not really sure what to do.  I know Space Savers has some items that would help me out. Wish me luck!

Good Luck, Christy! If you need some help, give a shout! We can trade off – you help with my laundry room and I’ll help with your bedroom/closet.

Take a day or two to tackle that mountain of clothes and gadgets. If you have anything that you haven’t used in a year, you’ll probably never wear them again. Donate them to your church or a charity — many will offer to come pick them up from your porch. They’ll give your old clothing to the less fortunate who will be very grateful for your generosity. You’ll also have more room for new stuff!

Next, consider replacing your bed with a wallbed that folds into the wall. There are very elegant designs available that include tall storage on both sides for those clothes and accessories you decide keep. And when you’re not sleeping, lift the bed into the wall and you’ll free up plenty of floor space during the day!

    Good luck!
